Windujenar Antique Market


Windujenar Antique Market, formerly known as the Triwindu market is located in Keprabon, Banjarsari District, Solo, in front Mangkunegaran Palace. This location is originally Mangkunegaran property. At that time, many merchants sold various items and souvenirs by creating an open vendor on the site. Then, these trading activities are managed by local governments to become a well organized antique market.

On 2009, Triwindu Market was relocated to the right wing of Mangkunegaran Palace. This market has a land area of 2384 m2 and was inaugurated by the Mayor of Surakarta on September 25th, 2009 with a ceremonial procession Boyongan Windujenar.

Windujenar Market was built in two phases. The first phase was conducted in 2008. The market’s south and north block, consisting of 2 (two) floors, with an area of floor 1 (one) covering an area of 1.826m2 and Level 2 (two) covering an area of 1454 m2 were built. The second phase implemented in 2009, namely the construction of the eastern block consists of 2 (two) floors with a total building area and floor 1 (one) covering an area of 272 m2 floor 2 (two) covering an area of 272 m2.

Windujenar Market opens at 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. This market has total area of 2.384 m2. There are 266 stalls and 236 sellers (the data taken at 2010).
